Chicago or BUST! or maybe London?

It's a good thing Rick and I are pretty easy going and are able to conform to change. Thanks to Mother Nature our 8:45 am flight to  Chicago was cancelled. But do you think we were told that prior to getting at the airport at 6:30 in the morning? YEAH RIGHT! Fortunatley we were able to secure a flight to Brussles Belgium by way of London England, on the first flight leaving Seattle at 6:30 pm. So what was I supposed to do with these kids for the next 12 hours?!

Luckily Sea-Tac is an airport equipped with a room set up for military while they wait. They provided us with internet, movies, couches and plenty of food. So we pretty much hung out there for the duration of our time there in Seattle. Once we finally boarded the plane we were more than ready! The flight to London was pretty long, 9 hours, but in the long run it was probably for the best so the kids could sleep. But I think sleep pretty much eluded Aidyn, he didn't get any shut-eye until midnight. Of course four hours later we were in London. That airport is AWESOME! Shopping at places like Harrods, Prada, Tiffany's. Too bad I was way under dressed and tired to set foot in any of them. I just looked through the windows as we passed by....I may have drooled a little!

Our plane ride to Brussels took just enough time for the plane to be in the air and then come back down. Time of landing was about 6:00 pm local time.  We were picked up by Rick's supervisor and treated to a Belgium McDonald's were Aidyn decided he loves the cheeseburgers here!

The next day was a whirl-wind of places to go, pictures for ids, and lots of papers to sign.
We enrolled the kids in school, secured a house and tried to overcome our jet lag.
Of course Hunter claimed he didn't have jet lag, but pictures speak louder than words!

So far we have enjoyed some beautiful days and some amazing food. We stopped at a place called a Fritterie where everything is fried goodness!

Our adventure begins...

Our adventure began on the 30th of January. We woke up early in the morning and made the long journey by car to Seattle. The kids did great in the car, only have to stop a few times for potty breaks. I don't know who had to stop more, the kids or daddy!

We were met in Seattle by Grandpa & Grandma Sanders. We checked out the gigantic mall in Renton and then went to dinner at an italian buffet.

The next morning brought us a ride on the light rail which the kids thought was a blast. We took it downtown and walked the pier. Pikes Place market was awesome but we were disappointed that they weren't throwing the fish since they were under construction...BUMMER! And of course I forgot the camera in the hotel room.

But on the bright side. I treated myself to an adorable hat and what trip to the boardwalk would be complete without a visit to Ye Olde Curiosity Shop to look at some weird stuff and a trip to Ivar's for some fish & chips....Dee-Lish! Then it was back to our hotel room to pack up and get ready for our early morning departure to Chicago!
